No Show Policy- Due to the high rate of customers not showing for their scheduled appointments, we have had to implement a No Show Policy. A "No Show" is when a customer has an appointment; does not cancel the appointment within 24 hours and/or does not show for said appointment. Your appointment saves the time slot for your furry friend to be given the service you request. Our stylist or receptionist tries to allot the appropriate time needed to perform the requested service. Our stylists are paid on commission, so when a slot is allocated and the customer does not show up, the stylist generally does not have the time to refill said slot, so they don't get paid. We hope our customers could see how this could be very problematic with several no shows per week and even per day. Beginning July 10, 2022 the first "no show" will result in a $30 fee, per dog, that will be due at your next visit. If a 2nd "no show" occurs, the same fees apply and a non-refundable prepayment, for the full amount of the service needed, will be required for all appointments after that point. If you cancel within 24 hours of your scheduled appointment, the payment will be honored at your new scheduled time.
Daycare Fee- With us being a free roam facility, it is vital that we try to keep a minimal amount of dogs in the grooming area, at a time. When dogs are not picked up, in a reasonable time, it causes chaos, as you can imagine. Unlike our daycare area, there is not a designated person there to monitor the pups and incidents can happen. Also, when too many pups are in the floor, it causes the dogs on the tables to get riled up and the situation can actually become dangerous; as we use sharp tools and when a dog is not being still, the chance of the them being hurt is heightened. When your dog is ready for pickup, we call or text to notify you. Your dog needs to be picked up within 30 minutes of said notification or a $5.00 per 15 minute fee will be added to your bill.
For the health and safety of your pet and our staff, Priority Pet Services will determine when grooming services may need to be stopped. We do not forcibly restrain, sedate or continue grooming if a pet cannot be easily restrained. The decision to discontinue grooming is made by the staff member providing your pet with care. Please understand, your business is important to us, but your pet's health and safety, as well as the health and safety of our staff is a priority. Over-stress, to your pet, can cause very serious health situations for your pet and possible dangerous situations for our staff. At any time, our staff feels unsafe for themselves or your pet, you will be notified to pick up your pet and fees will be applied for the time taken to provide any portion of the service scheduled.
With dog grooming sharp scissors and blades are used to groom. Unlike a hair salon, we do not quite get the cooperation from our customers, that hair stylist do. "Look forward, please. Now look down". Yeah, that doesn't happen here. haha That being said, our stylist take every precaution to insure no one gets cut. Our training teaches us, "Make sure you see what you are cutting before you close the shears." But, unfortunately someone zigs when they are zagging, and an accident happens. Also, when a dog is matted unforeseen issues happen. It breaks our hearts with the slightest nick or cut. We always try to inform the parent of the situation, but please be aware, we could miss something, and it is not intentional. Unless, our stylist was negligent in their technique, PPS is not liable for nicks or cuts.
